Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the Memory Sequence Android application (the “App”) handles information when you play, sign in, use online leaderboards, or view advertisements.

Privacy at a glance
Contents
1. Scope and controller
NavyB Technology is the publisher of Memory Sequence and is responsible for the App-specific processing described in this policy. Third-party services used by the App may act as independent controllers or processors under their own privacy notices.
This policy applies to the Android App and this informational website. The website itself does not use analytics, advertising scripts, contact forms, or non-essential cookies. If hosted through GitHub Pages, GitHub may process technical request information such as IP address and browser details under the GitHub Privacy Statement.
2. Information processed
Information stored locally on your device
The App stores your best score and date for each game mode, selected visual theme, music and sound preferences, animation preference, and haptics preference. This information remains on your device and is not uploaded merely because you play the game.
Optional Google sign-in and Firebase data
If you choose Sign in with Google, the App receives and processes your Google/Firebase user identifier, display name, email address, profile-photo URL, authentication tokens, and token-expiry information. Authentication/session information is stored locally so that you can remain signed in.
When you submit a global high score, Firebase Realtime Database stores your Firebase user identifier, display name, profile-photo URL where available, score, game mode, and server timestamp. The leaderboard displays the top scores publicly, including the player's display name, score, and profile image where available. Your email address and authentication tokens are not displayed on the leaderboard.
Advertising and device data
The App uses Appodeal SDK and mediated advertising partners to display banner and rewarded-video ads. Depending on consent, region, device settings, and partner configuration, these services may process:
- IP address, mobile advertising ID, Android Privacy Sandbox identifiers, and similar device or online identifiers;
- device model, operating-system and App information, language, user agent, memory/storage signals, and technical configuration;
- network provider, connection type, mobile country/network codes, and information derived from the IP address;
- ad requests, impressions, clicks, rewarded-ad completion, and other interactions with advertising;
- diagnostics, performance information, fraud-prevention signals, and consent/privacy strings.
The App does not request Android precise or coarse location permission. Advertising providers may still infer a broad location from an IP address or similar network information. The App does not provide your Google account email, local personal-best records, or authentication tokens to Appodeal.
Information we do not intentionally collect
Memory Sequence does not ask you to provide a postal address, telephone number, contacts, photos or files, health information, financial information, or precise GPS location. Android permissions contributed by third-party libraries do not necessarily mean that Memory Sequence itself accesses or uses the corresponding data.
3. How information is used
Information is processed to:
- save game progress and apply your chosen settings;
- authenticate optional Google accounts and maintain sessions;
- publish, retrieve, secure, and rank global leaderboard scores;
- provide banner and rewarded-video advertising;
- measure ad delivery and performance and, where permitted, personalize ads;
- detect invalid traffic, abuse, security incidents, and fraud;
- diagnose technical problems, operate the App, and comply with legal obligations.
5. Advertising and privacy choices
Appodeal's consent manager may request consent where required and communicates your choices to participating advertising partners using recognized industry privacy signals, including IAB consent strings. Depending on your location and choices, ads may be personalized or non-personalized. Non-personalized ads may still use contextual information and limited identifiers for delivery, frequency control, security, fraud prevention, and measurement.
You can also control or reset the advertising ID and available advertising-personalization settings through Android's privacy or ads settings. Restricting personalization does not necessarily remove advertising from the App.
Where required by applicable law, you may use the App's Privacy Settings entry point to revisit consent choices or ask that personal information not be sold or shared for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may also submit a request using the contact method in Section 12.
6. Legal bases for EEA, UK, and Swiss users
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, processing may rely on:
- Consent, including for personalized advertising or storage/access of advertising identifiers where consent is legally required. Consent may be withdrawn without affecting earlier lawful processing.
- Performance of a contract, such as providing requested gameplay, sign-in, and leaderboard functionality.
- Legitimate interests, such as operating and securing the App, preventing fraud, providing contextual advertising, measuring service performance, and improving reliability, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Legal obligations, when processing is necessary to comply with applicable law or valid legal requests.
7. Retention and deletion
- Local data remains on your device until you clear the App's storage or uninstall the App.
- Google/Firebase session data remains locally until you sign out, clear App storage, uninstall, or the credentials are revoked or replaced.
- Leaderboard records may remain while the leaderboard service operates, unless deletion is required by law or requested and verified. Signing out does not automatically delete a previously published score.
- Advertising data is retained by Appodeal and its partners according to their own policies, legal duties, and operational needs.
When you request deletion, we may retain limited information where necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or enforcement of rights.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection; to withdraw consent; and to complain to a supervisory authority. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. These rights may be subject to legal exceptions.
For App-specific account or leaderboard requests, use the contact method in Section 12 and identify the Google/Firebase account or displayed leaderboard name involved. Never send us your password or authentication token. Requests concerning data controlled independently by Google, Appodeal, or an advertising partner should also be directed to that provider.
9. California and other US state privacy rights
Residents of California and certain other US states may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information; to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or sharing; and to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable right.
| Category | Examples in this App | Purpose / recipients |
|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | Firebase user ID, display name, email for authentication, IP address, advertising ID, device identifiers | Account access and leaderboards through Google/Firebase; ad delivery, measurement, and security through Appodeal/ad partners |
| Internet or electronic activity | Ad impressions, clicks, rewarded-ad completion, network and App interactions | Advertising, reporting, diagnostics, and fraud prevention |
| Approximate geolocation | Broad location inferred from IP/network information; no GPS location permission requested | Regional compliance, ad delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention |
| Commercial/game activity | Scores, game mode, leaderboard timestamp | Providing local and global leaderboard features |
| Device and diagnostics | Device model, OS/App information, performance and technical signals | Ad delivery, analytics, reliability, diagnostics, and fraud prevention |
Disclosures of advertising identifiers, IP/network information, device data, and ad activity to advertising partners for personalized or cross-context behavioral advertising may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under some US state laws, even though no money is exchanged for the data itself. Where required, use the App's Privacy Settings to opt out, or submit a request through Section 12. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of users under 16.
10. Children's privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so that we can investigate and delete it where required.
If a store listing or distribution channel designates the App for children or mixed audiences, additional age-screening, child-directed advertising configuration, and parental-consent requirements may apply.
11. Security and international transfers
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encrypted HTTPS connections to online services. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Google, Firebase, Appodeal, and advertising partners may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, providers may rely on adequacy decisions, contractual safeguards, consent, or another lawful transfer mechanism described in their respective policies.
12. Contact and requests
For privacy questions or requests concerning Memory Sequence, contact NavyB Technology using the developer contact email shown on Memory Sequence's Google Play Store listing. Please use the subject “Memory Sequence Privacy Request” and provide enough information for us to identify the relevant leaderboard record or issue.
We may update this policy when the App, service providers, or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the App or store listing where appropriate.
